House Bill Aims To Improve Import Safety

Law360, New York (January 17, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Adding to a growing pile of proposed legislation targeting public fears over product safety, a new House bill aims to reduce the number of food and product recalls that affect consumers.

Rep. Pete Visclosky, D-Ind., introduced the Food Product and Safety Act this week, a companion measure to a Senate bill introduced last year by Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, and Bob Casey, D-Pa.
