Canada Launches Cartel Whistleblowing Program

Law360, New York (May 29, 2013, 7:31 PM EDT) -- Canada's antitrust watchdog launched a new whistleblowing program Tuesday in a bid to encourage individuals to come forward with information about criminal cartel violations at their workplaces.

The initiative is designed to make it easier for citizens to come forward and reassure any would-be whistleblowers that their identities would remain confidential, according to the Canadian Competition Bureau.
