7th Circ. OKs Counting Married Fraud Victims Separately

Law360, New York (May 30, 2013, 2:09 PM EDT) -- A judge calculating the total number of victims in a fraud scheme for sentencing purposes may count each spouse in a married couple separately, the Seventh Circuit ruled Wednesday, rejecting an appeal by a former MetLife Inc. broker convicted of stealing $6 million from scores of clients.
