CFPB Launches 1st 'Abusive Practices' Case In Fla.

Law360, New York (May 30, 2013, 6:40 PM EDT) -- The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau on Thursday for the first time brought an enforcement action alleging "abusive practices" in a complaint against a Florida debt collection firm, giving the industry a view into how the agency will use that power.
