Tesoro Pays $1.1M To Settle Gasoline Test Suit

Law360, Washington (May 30, 2013, 5:11 PM EDT) -- Tesoro Corp. has agreed to pay $1.1 million to settle allegations that it failed to comply with Clean Air Act reporting and testing requirements at four of its U.S. refineries, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced Thursday.

EPA claimed Tesoro neglected its record keeping, reporting, sampling and testing duties for fuel refining emissions at its Salt Lake City; Mandan, N.D.; Anacortes, Wash.; and Kenai, Alaska, facilities, which led to the eventual settlement.
