CMS Won't Delay Next Stage In E-Records Adoption

Law360, New York (June 4, 2013, 6:49 PM EDT) -- The Centers for Medicare and Medicare Services won’t consider giving doctors and hospitals extra time to meet increasingly demanding standards for use of electronic health records before facing reduced reimbursements, an agency official said Tuesday in a wide-ranging discussion of how digitized data must be used.
