Union Prevails In Salary Spat Against Howard U.

Law360, New York (January 18, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Howard University has lost its appeal seeking to vacate a campus police union’s arbitration award over a salary dispute.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit upheld a district court’s judgment in favor of the union on Friday after finding the university’s argument alleging the arbitrator lacked jurisdiction came too late and its case was not prejudiced by the exclusion of evidence.
