Judge Exempts Pa. Girl From HHS Transplant Age Rule

Law360, Philadelphia (June 5, 2013, 7:12 PM EDT) -- A Pennsylvania federal judge Wednesday delivered swift relief to the parents of a Pennsylvania girl suffering from cystic fibrosis when he ordered the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to exempt her from a rule impeding children less than 12 years old from receiving transplanted adult lungs.
