Cigna Can't Duck Anheuser's $24M Overcharge Suit

Law360, New York (June 7, 2013, 1:27 PM EDT) -- An Illinois federal judge on Thursday refused to toss a $24 million suit accusing Cigna Corp. of authorizing excessive charges for Anheuser Busch Cos. Inc. employee insurance claims, ruling that the brewing company's allegations are specific enough to move forward.

U.S. District Judge Jean C. Hamilton found that Anheuser Busch's complaint sufficiently details accusations of breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, shooting down Cigna's argument that the claims are too vague.
