LPs Skittish On Publicly Traded PE Firms, Survey Finds

Law360, New York (June 10, 2013, 7:46 PM EDT) -- A majority of institutional investors say they aren't keen on large, publicly listed private equity firms and don't plan to put any more money with large funds in the next few years, according to a new survey secondaries firm Coller Capital released Monday.

At least 88 percent of limited partners, who are investors in private equity funds, said they are less interested in large buyouts and likely won't accelerate their commitments to such $1 billion-plus deals in the next two to three years, according to Coller...
