$28M Knee Injury Trial Riddled With Errors, Marketer Says

Law360, Philadelphia (June 10, 2013, 5:47 PM EDT) -- Facing an en banc rehearing of a decision granting them a new trial, a marketing firm told the Pennsylvania Superior Court Thursday that flawed proceedings before a Philadelphia County judge led to a woman receiving $27.6 million in damages after re-injuring her surgically repaired knee while filming a promotional video.

Public Communications Inc. said a three-judge Superior Court panel was right to grant the company a new trial in March after finding that a Philadelphia County judge had allowed inadmissible expert testimony and improper jury instructions...
