Loan Co. Workers Not Exempt From Overtime: Judge

Law360, New York (January 23, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A judge has rebuffed American Student Loan Corporation's contention that a group of former employees seeking unpaid overtime compensation are exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act overtime provisions.

In an order Friday, Judge David Campbell of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona said that the plaintiffs in the lawsuit, Hillary L. Partida and Mark C. Gravatt, are not exempt from overtime.
