Lawmaker Wants Details On Rule For Drug Marketing

Law360, New York (January 23, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A Democratic lawmaker has once again demanded that the Food and Drug Administration turn over information about a draft proposal that would give drug companies free rein to use journal articles to promote unapproved medication uses.

Rep. Henry Waxman, chair of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, sent the FDA a second letter on Tuesday, after the agency responded to his first request for information with a single document.
