Lorillard Ducks $81M Punitive Award In Mass. Smoking Suit

Law360, New York (June 11, 2013, 7:55 PM EDT) -- Massachusetts' highest court on Tuesday vacated an $81 million punitive damages award against Lorillard Tobacco Co. in a lawsuit brought on behalf of a longtime smoker who died of lung cancer, though it upheld $35 million in compensatory damages.
