Scalia Won't Sign Off On DNA Science In Gene Ruling

Law360, New York (June 13, 2013, 6:15 PM EDT) -- U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia on Thursday concurred with the court’s ruling that human genes could not be patented, but he declined to sign off on parts of the majority opinion that discussed scientific details of molecular biology, saying he could not affirm the information based on his beliefs.
