US Senate Confirms 2 Judges To Pa. District Court

Law360, Philadelphia (June 14, 2013, 4:48 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Senate on Thursday voted to confirm Judges Nitza Quinones Alejandro and Jeffrey Schmehl to fill two openings on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Judge Nitza Quinones Alejandro currently sits on the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas and will serve out of the district's primary Philadelphia courthouse, while Schmehl, who is the president judge of the Berks County Court of Common Pleas, will serve out of Reading, Pa.
