HHS Approves Fla. Medicaid Waiver For Managed Care

Law360, Miami (June 14, 2013, 1:50 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on Friday approved a final Medicaid waiver for Florida's managed care program that will allow the state to expand a pilot managed medical assistance program, primarily for low-income families, to the entire state.

Florida Gov. Rick Scott announced the approval by the HHS's Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services that allows the state to implement the second half of its Statewide Medicaid Managed Care program, which the legislature voted for in 2011.
