Dems Introduce Bill Giving Churches ACA Tax Credits

Law360, Washington (June 14, 2013, 6:29 PM EDT) -- Two Democrat senators introduced a bill Friday that would allow churches to receive small-employer tax credits under the Affordable Care Act without changing their current health plans.

Sens. Mark Pryor, D-Ark., and Chris Coons, D-Del., claimed the Church Health Plan Act of 2013 would help “level the playing field” between commercial and church health plans by allowing clergy and church employees to receive ACA tax benefits.
