Judge Reaffirms Dismissal Of Bias Suit V. DLA Piper

Law360, New York (January 23, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A New York federal judge has shot down a bid by a former DLA Piper LLP attorney, who sued the firm and 11 co-workers for racial discrimination and retaliation, to reconsider last month’s summary judgment dismissing the case.

Judge Lewis A. Kaplan of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Wednesday remained firm in his Dec. 13 decision to dismiss Charlene Morisseau's complaint after she missed court deadlines to respond to the defendants’ motion for summary judgment.
