Law360, New York (June 17, 2013, 1:11 PM EDT) -- A Delaware federal jury on Friday awarded Johnson & Johnson's DePuy Synthes Products LLC $16 million in its patent infringement lawsuit against Pennsylvania-based Globus Medical Inc., the latest development in a series of battles between the companies over spinal implants.

The awarded royalty represents a 15 percent cut of Globus' calculated sales related to three intervertebral implant patents, which the jury decided the implant manufacturer violated with three of its products, according to the verdict.
