Forgent’s $100M JPEG Patent Under Fire

Law360 (November 16, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- Forgent’s $100 million JPEG patent, the subject of an extended court battle involving most of the world's top technology companies, may face additional scrutiny by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office after the Public Patent Foundation filed a request with the USPTO to revoke the contentious image compression patent.
