House Lawmakers Blast FDA For $1B User Fee Surplus

Law360, Washington (June 18, 2013, 2:21 PM EDT) -- A U.S. House of Representatives committee on Thursday bashed the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for failing to utilize more than $1 billion of industry user fees as well as the "unpredictable nature and pace" of its rulemaking process, saying it planned to hold the agency more accountable for its funds and industry communication.
