Top Apple Patent Exec Departs For Technicolor

Law360, New York (June 19, 2013, 2:39 PM EDT) -- French media services company Technicolor SA has hired Apple Inc.'s top patent executive as president of its technology group, it announced Monday.

Boris Teksler served as Apple's director of patent licensing and strategy for four years, as the company launched numerous smartphone patent suits against Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. and other competitors. Paris-based Technicolor, which provides film post-production and other services for the entertainment industries, said that in his new role, Teksler will oversee the company's intellectual property, licensing, research and innovation activities.
