Plaintiffs Scoff At Pfizer's Experts On Viagra Safety

Law360, New York (January 25, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Plaintiffs in multidistrict litigation over Viagra have shot back at Pfizer Inc. in an ongoing spat over witness testimony, saying an expert for the defense based many of his allegedly questionable findings on a study sponsored by the drug maker.

Scoffing at Pfizer's attempts to label their causation expert a “world-renowned” epidemiologist, the plaintiffs told the Minnesota district court on Thursday that Dr Kimmel had conducted no epidemiological studies into the severe eye disease alleged to be a side effect of taking the blockbuster drug....
