Fla. Appeals Court Affirms $1M Award For Smoker's Family

Law360, Miami (June 24, 2013, 6:35 PM EDT) -- A Florida appeals court on Monday said a trial court correctly ordered R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. and Lorillard Tobacco Co. to pay all of a $1 million judgment to the family of a deceased smoker despite a jury's finding that he was partly liable for his smoking-induced ailments.
