Vinson Reps BreitBurn In $860M Okla. Oil Fields Buy

Law360, New York (June 25, 2013, 3:16 PM EDT) -- BreitBurn Energy Partners LP has agreed to acquire Whiting Petroleum Corp.'s stake in two Oklahoma oil fields, as well as related pipeline and other midstream assets, for $860 million, the companies announced Monday.

Under the terms of the deal, BreitBurn will purchase Whiting's interests in the Postle and North East Hardesty oil fields, as well as related gathering and plant processing facilities, an oil delivery pipeline, a 60 percent interest in a 120-mile carbon dioxide transportation pipeline, carbon dioxide supply contracts and certain crude oil swaps,...
