NRG's Pa. Power Plant To Stay Open, Convert To Gas

Law360, Philadelphia (June 25, 2013, 6:07 PM EDT) -- NRG Energy’s 330-megawatt power plant in Western Pennsylvania will remain open and switch from coal to natural gas, Gov. Tom Corbett said on Tuesday.

The new fate for the plant, located in New Castle in Lawrence County, reverses a decision announced last year by prior owner GenOn Energy to shutter it in April 2015.
