BP, Total To Select Winner For Caspian Sea Pipeline Project

Law360, New York (June 26, 2013, 3:10 PM EDT) -- Azerbaijan and a consortium of energy companies, including BP PLC and Total SA, have apparently chosen the proposed $2 billion Trans Adriatic Pipeline to carry natural gas from Caspian Sea fields to Europe, after a member of the rival Nabucco West project on Wednesday said it had not been chosen.

Vienna-based OMV Group, one of the shareholders of Nabucco Gas Pipeline International GmbH, said the Shah Deniz II consortium had informed it that its project was not selected as the preferred gas transportation route to Europe....
