Hospitals Concerned Over Medicare Advantage DSH Payments

Law360, New York (June 26, 2013, 6:39 PM EDT) -- Hospitals are pressing federal regulators to overhaul their approach to calculating disproportionate share payments being reduced under the Affordable Care Act, saying a proposed framework threatens to cost them huge sums of cash by allowing lower reimbursements from Medicare Advantage plans.

The complaints were filed in response to a proposed rule for which the comment period ended Tuesday.
