Baxter Recalls Heparin Doses

Law360, New York (January 28, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Months after an accidental overdose of heparin nearly killed the newborn twins of actor Dennis Quaid, Baxter International has decided to recall nine lots of the blood thinner amid other alarming reports of dangerous reactions to the drug.

On Friday, Baxter International Inc. revealed that it had launched an investigation into the potential reasons behind the allergic-type reactions associated with the medicine of late.
