Obama Names 3 Nominees For District Court Benches

Law360, New York (June 27, 2013, 1:52 PM EDT) -- President Barack Obama on Wednesday tapped a former solicitor general of Puerto Rico, a South Carolina state judge and a South Carolina federal magistrate judge to serve as federal district court judges, the White House said.

Obama has been rapidly churning district court nominees, unveiling eight since the beginning of June as he battles with Republicans over his federal court picks.
