$3.3B PGE Coal Plant Project Revived By Mining Co.

Law360, New York (June 27, 2013, 3:56 PM EDT) -- Just three months after Polish power company PGE Capital Group SA scrapped its plans for an 11 billion zloty ($3.3 billion) coal-fired plant, the project has been revived by new investments from a Polish coal mining firm, according to Thursday statements.

Per a newly inked letter of intent, mining company Kompania Weglowa SA has agreed to study the economic and legal possibilities of a long-term contract to supply coal to the power plant and may join in as an equity partner to the Opole II company...
