FDA, Interpol Seize $41M In Illegal Drugs From Websites

Law360, New York (June 27, 2013, 6:01 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration's criminal wing teamed with regulators from across the globe this week to seize $41 million in illegal, potentially dangerous prescription drugs from more than 9,600 websites, the agency said Thursday.

The FDA's Office of Criminal Investigations joined with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Colorado to shut down 1,677 pharmacy websites, a sixth of the worldwide total.
