Disciplinary Panel Affirms Pa. Judge's Ethics Suspension

Law360, Philadelphia (June 27, 2013, 7:05 PM EDT) -- The Pennsylvania Court of Judicial Discipline on Wednesday backed its decision to revoke the pay and affirm the suspension of a state judge, declaring that he violated the state's constitution and brought disrepute to the judiciary.

A six-judge board detailed Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge Thomas Nocella's transgressions as a candidate for the judiciary in 2009 and 2011, and concluded that his pattern of falsehoods demonstrated that he does not belong behind the bench.
