GOP Vows To Use EPA Bill To Attack Obama's Climate Plan

Law360, New York (June 27, 2013, 6:13 PM EDT) -- Rep. Mike Simpson, R-Idaho, pledged Thursday to turn the bill that provides funding for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and other federal regulators into a “battleground” for fighting the White House's new climate change plan.

The senior GOP lawmaker, who chairs the appropriations subcommittee that covers the EPA, said that he will limit any new rules, regulations and executive orders restricting greenhouse gas emissions by using legislation that funds the agency for the upcoming fiscal year.
