Woman Defends $28M Verdict In Knee Injury Row Rehearing

Law360, New York (June 28, 2013, 3:27 PM EDT) -- A plaintiff who was awarded $27.6 million in damages after reinjuring her surgically repaired knee while filming a promotional video said Thursday that the case was backed by solid testimony and shouldn’t be retried, as it faces an en banc rehearing before the Pennsylvania Superior Court.

Margo Polett defended the verdict awarded her by a Philadelphia jury and asked the full Superior Court to reject a decision by a three-judge Superior Court panel in March to grant a new trial to medical device maker Zimmer Inc....
