US Bank Urges Dewey Judge To Allow $8M Equipment Claim

Law360, New York (June 28, 2013, 2:30 PM EDT) -- U.S. Bank NA on Thursday urged a New York bankruptcy judge to allow its $8 million claim for office equipment lease payments against the estate of Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP stand, offering to reduce the amount by around $371,000 as required by the lease agreement.

The bank filed its claim for about $8.2 million in September, saying the fallen mega-firm is obligated to make remaining lease payments under a contract the parties signed more than a decade ago.
