Nigerian Case Against Pfizer Runs Into Delay

Law360, New York (January 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A Nigerian state's battle against Pfizer Inc. has been put on hold for a few more days as both sides wait for the judge to resume the case regarding allegations that the pharmaceutical giant conducted illegal clinical trials of a meningitis drug that killed and disabled children.

On Tuesday, a Kano court adjourned the criminal case against Pfizer until next Monday in light of the judge's absence, the Associated Press reported.
