WTO Won't Ax US Case Over India's Poultry Restrictions

Law360, New York (July 1, 2013, 12:32 PM EDT) -- A World Trade Organization dispute panel has refused to dismiss a U.S. challenge over India's restrictions on American poultry and eggs, rejecting the country's argument that the U.S. complaint was too vague.

In a preliminary ruling published Monday, the dispute panel shot down India's bid to nix the challenge on technical grounds: that the request didn't identify measures at issue with enough specificity or present a clear enough summary of the legal basis for the challenge.
