Total SA Cleared Of Iraq Oil-For-Food Bribery Charges

Law360, New York (July 8, 2013, 2:50 PM EDT) -- A French criminal court on Monday cleared oil giant Total SA of bribery and corruption charges connected to the United Nations' Oil-for-Food program in Iraq, an acquittal that comes after several attempts by the company and officials to shed allegations springing from an 11-year-old probe.
