Hernia Patch Plaintiffs Play Hardball Over Names

Law360, New York (January 30, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- As the litigation over a purportedly defective hernia mesh patch continues to get under way, the plaintiffs are demanding that the defendants turn over the names of various sales representatives who may have information related to the bellwether cases against health care products maker C.R. Bard Inc.

The plaintiffs requested Tuesday that the judge force C.R. Bard and defendant Davol Inc. to turn over names as well as the deposition of the company president, Daniel W. LaFever, after multiple attempts to procure the information independently failed....
