USPTO Creates Search Tool For Chinese Patents

Law360, New York (July 9, 2013, 6:41 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office unveiled a new website Monday that provides translations of many patents granted in China, in an effort to make patent research easier and more comprehensive.

In a post on her official blog, acting USPTO Director Teresa Stanek Rea announced the Global Patent Search Network, a website designed in cooperation with China's State Intellectual Property Office, which she said "will be a valuable tool for improving search quality and comprehensiveness in today’s global IP market."
