CFPB Official Challenges GOP Data Collection Criticisms

Law360, New York (July 9, 2013, 5:44 PM EDT) -- A top Consumer Financial Protection Bureau official pushed back at House Republicans' harsh criticism of the agency’s data collection practices during a finance subcommittee hearing Tuesday, saying that the regulator does not monitor specific individuals or gather any more data than other financial watchdogs.
