Societe Generale Group Vies For Case File Access

Law360, New York (January 30, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- An association of Societe Generale shareholders and former employees has said it will file a criminal complaint to gain access to the depositions and testimony associated with a judge's inquiry into the scandal at the French bank.

The group, ASSACT SG, issued a statement on Tuesday saying it had instructed an attorney to file the complaint, which does not name a defendant. The statement said it was the group's duty to shed light on the recent miscalculations of which Societe Generale's shareholders had been victims....
