House Committee OKs Proposed Pipeline Approval Deadlines

Law360, New York (July 10, 2013, 7:34 PM EDT) -- A measure to force the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to make a decision on pipeline project proposals within 12 months passed a House energy subcommittee Wednesday, amid warnings from the bill’s detractors that such speedy decision-making could jeopardize the safety and environmental assessments of such projects.
