Chinese Co. Didn't Seal Wind Farm Deal Nixed By Obama: US

Law360, Washington (July 11, 2013, 2:58 PM EDT) -- The Obama administration urged a Washington federal judge Thursday to toss the remainder of Ralls Corp.'s challenge to a presidential order unwinding the Chinese-owned company's deal to buy four Oregon wind farms, maintaining the company wasn't entitled to due process because the acquisition was never valid.

According to the federal government, Ralls' deal to purchase the Oregon wind farm projects from Terna Energy USA Holding Corp. was never truly finalized because it didn't undergo a required Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States review. By...
