ITC Investigates Oil Well Tubing Dumping Claims

Law360, New York (July 15, 2013, 5:13 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission said Wednesday it has instituted an investigation into whether nine countries in Asia, Europe and the Middle East are dumping steel products commonly used in the oil and gas industry, to the detriment of American businesses.

The ITC has undertaken anti-dumping and countervailing duty investigations on certain tubular steel products, casing and tubing, according to a notice published in Wednesday's Federal Register. The commission said it will render an initial determination on the matter by Aug. 16.
