Fisher-Price Faces Suit Over Exercise Device Patent

Law360 (January 31, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Exercise equipment maker Icon Health & Fitness Inc. has sued Fisher-Price for patent infringement over technology that electronically simulates a mountain hike.

Icon, one of the largest fitness equipment manufacturers in the world, lodged the suit Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah, alleging that the Mattel Inc. unit violated its patent covering a hiking display controller system that is used with an adjustable exercise device.
