Pa. PUC Finalizes Settlement In Fatal Philly Gas Explosion

Law360, Philadelphia (July 17, 2013, 3:31 PM EDT) -- The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission on Tuesday, noting that its hands were tied by statutory limits on penalties, approved a $500,000 fine against Philadelphia Gas Works in the wake of a 2011 explosion that killed a 19-year-old employee and injured five others.
