Enviros Seek Limits On Conoco's Rights In Alaska Suit

Law360, New York (July 18, 2013, 2:54 PM EDT) -- The Center for Biological Diversity on Wednesday asked an Alaska federal judge to require that all defendant intervenors work in concert in its lawsuit against the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for approving a ConocoPhillips Alaska Inc. development plan that could damage endangered habitats.

If allowed to intervene, ConocoPhillips will be the first and only intervening party so far, but the center anticipates other groups like Arctic Slope Regional Corp., Kuukpik Corp. and the state of Alaska to get involved, as they have in similar lawsuits....
